Pombo was born in Buenos Aires in 2016, almost by accident. What started as a leatherworking course taken with a friend revealed something unexpected: the satisfaction of making whole objects, and the quiet elegance of leather as a material. That first intuition stayed.

Bogotá — my city — came next, and it was the longer school. There the craft became a discipline: methodical study, new techniques, teachers who share what an artisan carries and almost never explains — when to stop, how to look, what matters.

There was a pause. Not in the idea — the idea kept going. Years of thinking slowly. Until it had a shape.

Pombo is an authored studio of few hands. We make leather goods in editions of up to twelve — made entirely by hand, closed when they’re done. Every piece passes through the same hands. When an edition sells out, it rests. We do not reproduce on demand. We do not produce by season.

Our sustainability is structural: minimal production, short editions, materials that last decades, a small studio that generates no supply chain waste.
